I believe that building a deeper understanding of ourselves while practicing self-compassion is the foundation of improving mental health. As an Asian American, I am continuously learning about how my experiences have shaped my identity. Our cultures and lived experiences all influence who we are becoming, and there are times when it can be hard to take in what is happening.
