Bio

Much of my practice focuses on identity and relationships, life and family transitions, multicultural issues, and relational stress. I frequently work with clients from immigrant backgrounds, creatives and artists, LGBTQIA+ folks, and neurodivergent folks. My clinical work and research focuses on systemic barriers to mental health care and resilience for historically excluded/marginalized populations. I collaborate with clients looking to heal interpersonal relationships, break out of harmful relational patterns, explore meaning and purpose, and process difficult transitions. My approach to therapy centers around exploring the client’s story, including how experiences of marginalization, and oppression impact mental health, relationships, and communities. I hope to offer a collaborative, affirming space where couples, individuals, and families may feel empowered to make changes in their lives and relationships.

As a Filipina American therapist, I have both life experiences and professional training that inform my work with Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) clients. I often work with AAPI clients around issues of identity, interpersonal concerns, family relationships, and intergenerational patterns. I practice through a social justice and decolonized lens, integrating into my clinical work an understanding of how power, privilege, and oppression shapes the lives of individuals, their families, and their community – as well as the mental health field. I received advanced training through the American Association for Marriage and Family (AAMFT) Minority Fellowship Program and am pursuing a PhD in Marriage & Family Therapy at Syracuse University.
