Our work together will not be about fixing who you are, but understanding who you are. I believe that there is nothing broken with you. We’re not building a better version of you, but helping you be MORE of who you really are.
With a social justice and multicultural lens, we will revisit the unique elements of your story so you can reconnect and become familiar with the gifts that have helped you along the way. By combining your strengths, skills, relationships, communities, culture, and values, we will build solutions -one small step at a time, to bring you closer to living a life that celebrates who you are.
Having moved from the Philippines to the United States as a teenager, I am familiar with experiences you might have navigating life transitions. This can include shedding beliefs that may have changed, outgrowing our old habits over time, choosing and embodying the values that resonate with us -all things that eventually help us feel closer to who we truly are.
I have been in the mental health field for over 10 years, supporting people with their mental health and recovery goals. I have experience supporting folks living with depression, anxiety, chronic mental health conditions (bipolar disorder, schizophrenia), substance use, LGBTQIA topics, navigating immigration, and those looking to explore kinks, polyamory, and sexuality. I practice from a combination of Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and the Recovery Model.
In my free time I am an avid rock climber (lead climbing and bouldering), backpacker, X-men and Marvel geek, Percy Jackson fan, and plant daddy. I also enjoy karaoke, horror movies, and cozy nights playing board games with friends.
It would be an honor supporting you and your recovery goals. I hope you reach out via email or phone call to schedule a free initial consultation. I hope to connect with you soon!
