Welcome
Hello! I’m Rachel, a therapist dedicated to guiding individuals and couples through significant life challenges to foster healing and growth.
My practice is built on helping clients who are ready to overcome the impact of past traumas, manage complex grief, reduce anxiety and depression symptoms, and address issues related to sexual addiction/compulsive behaviors.
I combine a range of evidence-based modalities—including CBT, DBT, IFS, SFT, and EMDR—to create a personalized path toward your goals. I am currently finalizing my Certification in Sexual Addiction and my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy.
My Core Areas of Focus
1. Trauma Recovery & PTSD
Trauma—whether a single incident or an ongoing, complex event—can profoundly impact your life and relationships. I provide compassionate support for a wide range of traumas, including:
- Childhood, relationship, betrayal, or sexual trauma
- Spiritual/religious trauma
- Complex PTSD
If you’ve been diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or feel your past experiences are holding you back, we can work together to process these events and develop effective coping strategies.
2. Specialized Support for High-Stress Professions
My expertise includes working with the unique stressors faced by military personnel, law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS professionals. Your dedication to intense and often dangerous work can lead to a higher risk of stress and PTSD. I understand the complexities of these roles and offer a safe space to process the fear, loss, and challenging exposure that comes with serving your community.
3. Anxiety, Depression, and Life Stressors
Are you feeling sad, unmotivated, overwhelmed, or lacking the energy to face daily life? Whether it’s anxiety, depression, or the compounding stressors brought on by life events (including the ongoing pandemic), I can help you learn new, effective strategies to manage these challenges and regain a sense of control and motivation.
4. Grief and Loss
Grief is a deeply personal journey, whether you’re mourning the loss of a loved one, a friendship, a job, a romantic partner, or a life dream. If you feel stuck in your pain, talking to a therapist can help you gently mourn your loss at your own pace and find a path forward.
5. Sexual Addiction and Compulsive Sexual Behavior
I provide specialized, non-judgmental support for individuals and their partners struggling with excessive sexual thoughts, desires, urges, or behaviors (also known as hypersexuality or compulsive sexual behavior) that are causing distress or harm to relationships, finances, and other areas of life.
