A Facebook Community for Asians to Talk About Mental Health

Subtle Asian Mental Health Facebook group* is a friendly online community for Asian-identifying folks to share their feelings and experiences around mental health.

Moderators help to ensure that this is a safe space for finding peer-to-peer support without shame; there’s even an option to post anonymously.

Common post topics include:

  • Sharing personal experiences with romantic, familial, or professional relationships
  • Unpacking the ways that Asian cultures and values intersect with mental health
  • Asking advice from others about how they navigate certain situations
  • Finding and sharing helpful mental health resources
  • Celebrating personal growth, transformation, and peace

*You’ll need a Facebook account to join, and to fill out a short application before accessing the group.

Being part of the Asian Mental Health Collective support group meant so much to me. I have never felt so seen and heard and validated. It’s forever changed my life.
Support Group Participant
I was able to meet an Asian American therapist who listens and understands my issues from the culture I am from. This has been a great experience identifying the root causes of my anxiety and addressing them.

I found my [8 sessions through AMHC] to be more effective than doing 14 months' of therapy via a well-known virtual therapy app.
