Wow you’re actually here, my name is Amrita Kataria and it is so nice to meet you. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and an Empowerment Coach. I am currently licensed in California, Florida and am providing tele-health services in both states. For my coaching you can reside in any state to receive services.

I am a British born and raised South Asian woman, who moved to Florida in her teen years and somehow ended up in California. Talk about being multicultural and let’s not forget all the different faith-based school experiences! All jokes apart, I truly feel blessed to have spent my time growing up in different places and adapting to various cultures but still embracing my South Asian culture and traditions. My hope is to help you to achieve a healthy balance in your bicultural & multicultural experiences, maintain healthy relationships (especially with family), and acceptance towards yourself.

My approach is deeply rooted in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy making you the expert on your own life. CBT focuses on cognitive restructuring, reframing, learning coping skills, and guided discovery. Strength, power, and the will to change always comes from within, given the right guidance I can help you achieve your best, authentic self and help promote personal growth. I also practice relaxation techniques, grounding techniques, use guided meditation and take a mindful, holistic approach enhance the healing experience from within.

I am currently licensed in California, and Florida and am open state-wide to seeing clients as I am providing telehealth services only at this time. Sessions can be conducted from the comfort of your own home, office or any other safe space.

My Coaching Practice

As well as my therapy practice, I also offer a coaching package for working South Asian mothers who are struggling to achieve some balance, and work-life integration.

I focus on helping mothers goal set, create a self-care plan, navigate unhealthy cultural expectations, explore career aspirations, spend quality time with their family, set boundaries, and learn effective communication skills with your their spouse.

I focus on helping mothers being their best self by helping them learn how to re-frame, mindset shift, move through anxiety, self-love and learn that they are also individuals as well as being caregivers.
