Hi! I’m Dr. Soeun Park, a licensed psychologist based in California. I provide ongoing individual psychotherapy in Korean and English and work with adolescents and adults. My specialties include Korean/East Asian culture and family dynamics. It is my goal to be an emotionally, culturally, and contextually responsive therapist. With my relational, psychodynamic, process-oriented approaches, I am dedicated to nurture and empower your self-growth, insights, and self-compassion. Some of my focus areas are parent-child relationship across the life span, intergenerational trauma, high achieving anxiety or depression, immigration and cultural adjustment. I obtained a PhD degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Iowa and completed a doctoral internship and a clinical post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Counseling and Psychological Services. I am also an assistant professor of the Psychology Department at California State Polytechnic University at Pomona.
