Hello! I’m Anjali (she/they). I am a California Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. As a second-generation Indian American therapist, I make it a priority to create a trauma-informed, culturally curious, and affirming space. Therapy with me is making space for all your stories – and gently rewriting the ones that no longer serve you to help you heal, change, and grow.

I was raised between California, USA and Bengaluru, India, and am intimately familiar with the Asian American and immigrant experience. I specialize in working with Asian American Pacific Islander folks, and I love working with clients trying to navigate their identities and relationships, immigration and cultural experiences, and the ways complex trauma may have impacted them. Much of what I do is helping clients choose what they want for themselves while untangling the weight of familial and cultural expectations and responsibilities.

I utilize a Narrative stance and strive to center a multicultural, feminist, queer- affirmative, and decolonial lens in my therapeutic work. I always collaborate with my clients on what they need the most, and use techniques from Gestalt, Expressive Arts, Internal Family Systems, Somatic, and Solution-Focused therapies as well.

Outside the therapy room, I love immersing myself in stories through books, video games, and TV shows, cuddling my friends’ cats, and trying under-30-minute recipes! I love integrating fiction into therapy, so definitely bring in your favorite pieces for us to work with! I also speak Kannada, Hindi, and Tamil!

I offer in-person sessions in Long Beach, CA, and virtual sessions for clients across California. If you feel drawn to working with me, I offer free 15-minute consultations so we can see if I’m the right therapist for you. Emailing me is the easiest way to reach me – but you can text me to schedule a call too!

As a registered associate therapist, I practice at Live with Ease Wellness Center under the supervision of Zane Julien, LMFT #45035.
