Rachel is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Certified Brainspotting Therapist. She earned her Master of Arts (MA) degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, graduating with Distinction.

Originally from Hong Kong, Rachel is multilingual and speaks Cantonese and Mandarin. She values culturally responsive care and is deeply committed to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. As part of her professional journey, she strives to be a culturally skilled counselor who honors each client’s lived experiences and unique identity.

Rachel believes that while people may share similar life experiences, every individual’s story is shaped by distinct details and perspectives. She understands how challenging it can be to navigate emotional experiences such as separation, divorce, loss, and major life transitions. She has supported students and individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, social anxiety, imposter syndrome, stress, grief, self-esteem concerns, and academic or employment-related challenges.

Rachel has worked across multiple school districts serving diverse populations. She has facilitated workshops on time management, love languages, parenting, motivation and procrastination, imposter syndrome, art therapy, team building, and self-care. She enjoys working with individuals and families through various life challenges and is especially passionate about supporting single parents, young children, adolescents, young adults, college students (including international and adult re-entry students), and military families.

Rachel is certified in Brainspotting; she is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR),  sand tray and sandplay therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, and Play Therapy with young children. Her clinical approach is person-centered and integrative, incorporating Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Therapy, Art and Music Therapy, and Mindfulness-based practices. She was fortunate to receive sand tray training through the World Association of Sand Therapy Professionals. Rachel believes that combining evidence-based interventions with an integrative, flexible approach empowers clients to reach their highest potential and work toward meaningful, sustainable change.
