It really feels like it’s getting harder to take care of ourselves in all this noise. Therapy with me involves slowing down and finding the right language to describe experiences you may not have had time to process. What a difference it makes to aim to trust versus love yourself, or to describe yourself as a pessimist versus a broken-hearted optimist.
I enjoy working with people who strive for spontaneity, conviction, and compassion in times when they feel awkward, lost, or stuck. I don’t mind if this looks a little grumpy or pig-headed sometimes. Therapy is scary and messy, and I appreciate that even reaching out to a new therapist can feel like a big commitment. If you’d like to take the leap, I’d love to hear your story.
I am in-network with Optum/United, Kaiser Northwest (not Washington), and Regence/Blue Shield. I am currently seeing clients ages 10 and up for individual therapy over telehealth.
