Many teens and young adults struggle with various aspects of their lives, be it identity, relationships, work/school, or past experiences that affect how they feel and navigate the world. Talk therapy and medications can be a powerful way to help people process, make sense of, and change these patterns that hold them back from living the life they want. I have particular experience supporting Asians and Asian Americans navigating issues of race, identity, family and culture.
I approach therapy with non-judgmental curiosity, compassion, and a goal of building a healing relationship aimed toward better reflection and understanding of one’s history, identity and relationships. I use an integrative approach based in anti-racism and cultural humility and involving aspects of CBT, trauma, mindfulness and psychodynamic psychotherapies.
I am board certified in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry, and having worked at Harvard University with college and graduate students, as well as at Mass General Hospital with children and teens, I have a breadth of experience supporting a wide range of issues in diverse populations.
