I’m a licensed clinical psychologist (NY, NJ, CA) and a second-generation Chinese American who grew up in an immigrant household. I specialize in helping adults who grew up with emotionally immature or unpredictable parents, and the patterns that follow — overthinking, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, fear of failure, people-pleasing, and emotional shutdown. Many of my clients are high-achieving Asian American professionals whose success on the outside doesn’t match how they feel internally. My doctoral research on shame and self-esteem in Chinese American families directly informs my work. I also offer executive coaching for Asian American leaders and professionals.
