Jade (she/her) is a Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C) and board approved supervisor for clinicians holding Licensed Masters of Social Work (LMSW) and Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) credentials in Maryland. Jade earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology-Child Life with a specialization in Child Studies at Utica University (formerly Utica College) in 2016 and Master’s Degree from University of Maryland – Baltimore School of Social Work in 2018.
Jade began her career in community mental health working as therapist in an elementary/middle school and outpatient mental health clinic in Baltimore City. Jade has over a decade of experience working with individuals, families, caregivers, and groups from ages 3-65+ across a variety of settings including hospitals, daycares, nonprofits, and residential treatment centers for youth with severe emotional/behavioral disorders. Jade currently serves as the Director of Mental Health & Wellness for a local nonprofit that provides summer camp programs for children & families affected by childhood cancer & other blood disorders.
Jade is trained in somatic therapy, adoption competent therapy, and CBT-I specializing in teens, adults & families 12+ struggling with complex PTSD(C-PTSD), developmental trauma, and adoption issues. Due to the nature of complex/developmental trauma disorders, she often sees clients with issues surrounding chronic insomnia, chronic illness, neurodivergence and complicated grief/loss. Jade is a transracial/international adoptee from China, survivor of Severe Aplastic Anemia, and member of the LGBTQ+, ADHD, chronic illness, and complex trauma communities. Jade utilizes a combination of her training and lived experience in her work with clients.
