Are you having the same fight with your partner over and over?

Do you fear you will never heal from past, regrettable incidents?

Are you just feeling distant, like you don’t know each other anymore?

Couple therapy may help. I’m Level 3 trained in the Gottman Method for couples and have four years of institutional psychoanalytic training.

What’s it like to work with me?

Structured: For big emotions, my use of structure in the Gottman Method can feel containing, rather than re-hashing old fights.

Encouraging: You have inherent strengths in your relationship. At the start, or during tough sessions, I may act as an emotional “translator.” However, the goal is to help you not rely on me.

Fun: We sometimes laugh! Gottman (and other trauma-informed therapists) identify “fondness and admiration” as a key foundation to sustained attachment.

Respectful: Your relationship has a microcosm of values that I expect to incorporate into our work together, especially with respect to race, gender, sexuality, neurodiversity, disability, and class. Within our current political climate, I respect the ways that systems may impact your individual relationship.

I welcome you to reach out today.
