Welcome! Whether you are navigating overwhelm, burnout, grief, trauma, a sense that something feels out of sync, or a desire to know yourself more deeply, I believe that all parts of you belong and would be honored to join you in learning what meaningful change looks like for you. To me, therapeutic work is rooted in meaning, not fixing. It is about making room for your emotions, thoughts, bodily experience, and for the parts of you that learned to adapt in order to survive or succeed.
As an Asian-American woman, my own story has been shaped by cultural and societal pressures, intergenerational patterns, and the experiences of feeling unseen and uncertain in my identity. Overwhelming experiences and inherited patterns led me armor up by holding a lot in, and take refuge in my mind. My own journey with parts work and somatic practices has guided me to feel my way through things and honor the slowness and wisdom held in the body, ultimately allowing me to live a more authentic, aligned life. I consider this to be a lifelong practice for me.
I am a relational therapist who uses somatic tools and Internal Family Systems to help people feel more at home within themselves. I often work with people who overperform, rarely ask for help, feel deeply, and might feel unseen or unheard in their experiences. We collaborate on things like identity, loss, burnout, life transitions, and creating space to slow down and listen inwardly with compassion. My approach focuses on creating a grounded relationship where vulnerability can emerge without becoming overwhelming. At your pace, we will attune to your emotions, nervous system, and personal story, while cultivating practices and insights that support you in feeling confident in yourself and authentically connected to others.
Some parts of me that are relevant to the relationship we may have include being a third-generation (granddaughter) Chinese settler, biracial woman, daughter, sister, student and instructor of somatic movement practices, military veteran, friend, and enjoyer of journaling, hiking, reading, and nature. I welcome all, yet you may find particular interest in working together if you identify as as a hyphenated human, biracial/multiracial/racialized. I continue to deepen my learning and practices that make way for healing, and I prioritize a non-pathologizing practice so that you can feel like all parts of you are welcome to show up, just as they are. I would be honored to support you in your journey toward reclaiming your authenticity, living in alignment with your values, and finding belonging and freedom. Ultimately, I believe our healing and growth happens in relationship. Let’s walk together where neither of us could go alone.
