Introduction
I am a Cornell-trained therapist and psychiatrist offering talk therapy and medication management. My identities include being a person of color, child of immigrants, and community organizer. I have created and facilitated group for Asian-American community organizers, and have worked individually with several Asian-Americans. With 5 years of prior surgical training, I also uniquely understand the intersection of medicine and mental health. I help my patients navigate anxiety, burnout, depression, relationship difficulties, insomnia, trauma, chronic pain (e.g. IBS and migraines), and more. We work together on developing self-understanding, more fulfilling relationships, and greater agency in life.

My Style
Therapy with me is a collaborative and active process to identify repressed emotions and root-issues. I stay attuned to questions of identity, belonging, multicultural experience, and the impact of sociopolitical factors on mental health. My training and experience allows me to fluidly move between therapy and medication management. If medications are involved, they are often reduced as the therapy progresses. My specific training includes short and long term psychodynamic psychotherapy, intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy (ISTDP), and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), among others. Treatment durations vary based on each person’s preferences and needs.
