Bio

Hello, ahlan wa sahlan, kumustaka! I’m Heba (she/her/هي), daughter of Egyptian and Filipino immigrant parents and the founder of Calamansi Counseling.

I work with adult children of immigrant parents, queer Muslims, multicultural individuals, couples, and third culture kids. I specialize in childhood & intergenerational trauma, multicultural identity exploration, social justice activism & organizing stress, anxiety related to global & political turmoil, family & relationship conflict, institutional wounds & harms from systems of oppression, infertility & non traditional family planning.

I provide culturally-integrative and anti-oppressive therapy in Maryland, DC, and internationally. My approach is anchored in care that is liberatory, anti-oppressive, LGBTQ+ affirming, centering the needs of communities of color with liberatory politics.
