As a clinical psychologist, my practice is heavily informed by current scientific findings in mindfulness research, neuroscience and psychology. I hope to assist you in your struggle to adjust to difficult circumstances be is psychological or physical, and to help you make positive changes. My approach to therapy is grounded within a bio-psycho-social framework that posits that biological, psychological (which entails thoughts, emotions, and behaviors), and social factors, all play a significant role in our optimal functioning and adaptation to our surroundings. With an integration of mindfulness, acceptance and cognitive relational paradigm, we can work collaboratively to help you develop and grow, overcome current problems and make progress in many areas of your life.
Clients I work with are often individuals working in academia, researchers in biotechnology and clinical fields, women in STEM, technology executives, young adults and retirees. Philosophically I believe in tackling a specific problem jointly within a specific timeframe. My typical program is time bound and lasts between 12 – 16 weeks. It can sometimes be intimidating to consider therapy, and I understand that. I invite you to have an introductory conversation, where we can explore if therapy could be helpful for you at this time to deal with the questions you may have. We can explore the questions, figure out possible therapy options that may make sense, and give you a good sense of what to expect.
