Bio

If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and uncertain about how to manage life’s challenges, you might wonder whether it’s possible to find peace amidst life’s changes and transitions.

I work with adults and elders around various concerns including (but not limited to) challenging family dynamics, relationship issues, chronic illness and cancer, grief, and depression and anxiety. Within these dynamics, I have a particular focus on first- and second-generation immigrants of East Asian backgrounds. In therapy, I walk you through the work of developing insight, improving confidence, and building resiliency.

I believe that every challenge we face holds potential for growth, and that it is possible to emerge on the other side feeling empowered to live more authentically to who you are and who you want to be.

I’m committed to creating an inclusive and trauma-informed space where you feel understood, accepted, and respected. This means that I tailor our use of therapy based on what would be most helpful for youMy collaborative and compassionate approach integrates principles and techniques from many therapy modalities, including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Existential-Humanistic, Early Attachment, and Trauma-Based Therapies.

We will work together to discover your goals for therapy, explore what ‘feeling better’ means for you, and create a path to get you there. Change can be daunting, but starting therapy doesn’t need to be! Whether you’re considering therapy or just want to learn more about the therapeutic process, I encourage you to call or email me for a free consultation. It would be a privilege to support you in your journey of healing and growth.
