Ethnicity: Thai
Bio
I am a trauma-focused, EMDR-certified, clinical registered Art Therapist, and Marriage and Family Therapist. My offering is for those who wish to understand how one’s mind develops and how the body reacts to certain people or situations. The past has shaped our personality and habits, causing difficulty in living life at this moment. We will explore past experiences in order to identify the root(s) of the presenting symptoms so that we can be free to have choices and wisdom to take action for a healthier future.
I am a relaxed Buddhist, cisgender female, immigrant, from Thailand. For 26 years, I have been acculturated into the US dominant culture to survive and be accepted. I also have learned that trauma, especially racial trauma and oppression, are commonly unspoken, causing frustration, anxiety, depression, addiction, aggression, and physical illness for so many.
In treatment, we will look deeply together into your stories, spiritually and ancestrally, to discover how the system and environment have distressed your mental health. We will, henceforth, learn to recover from symptoms and old habits that you have carried all your life. Although we cannot get rid of the trauma memory, we cannot let it control our lives.

I speak Thai fluently and am one of a few Thai-speaking therapists in the US.
