Bio

I love being a therapist. I began my career in the corporate world, and though I learned some great skills, I was not personally fulfilled. I made the career switch to counseling by going to graduate school, and I was so glad that I did! Since receiving my graduate degree in Counseling Psychology, I have loved going to work every day.

I have a non traditional personal and professional background that gives me a unique perspective. Personally, I have lived in several different countries and several states in the US. I am a second generation South Asian American. This gives me a professional edge in that I am able to bridge across generations and cultures which helps clients “feel heard” and and understood. I strive to connect with my clients and help them develop skills for lasting change. I also use a variety of techniques with my clients to help them achieve their goals. I work with my clients to develop an individualized plan to bring short term relief and longer lasting change.

In my counseling career, I have worked with clients with varying challenges – depression, anxiety, OCD, impulse control, parenting, family and relational issues, domestic violence, career issues, and self exploration.
