SALDEF (Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund)

Category: Organizations
Country: United States
State: Nationwide
At SALDEF, we recognize there’s a lack of culturally competent mental health resources available to aid in the healing process. To address this issue, SALDEF, with support from The Asian American Foundation (TAAF), has produced culturally competent mental health resources in English and Punjabi. These resources were inspired by our on-the-ground work in Indianapolis in the aftermath of the tragedy as well as our work with the Oak Creek Sikh Community in the aftermath of the mass shooting in 2012.

My role is to help make sure as many partners as possible are aware of this valuable resource and the many benefits it offers. I am here to collaborate on any effort that increases awareness about behavioral health and helps others find the help they need. I would love to share more about the help line and how it can be of use to you and your group!
