Bio

My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and connection. I come to clinical social work with a deeply held belief that all people are deserving of care and I have seen how a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship can offer support when that care has been challenged. As a queer, mixed-race, Chinese-American woman, I am particularly attuned to the impact of person’s larger context on their mental health. I know that part of healing means acknowledging and working beyond the systems that have caused harm. I firmly believe healing is possible and would be thrilled to discuss how I could support you.

I support clients in gaining insight and empowerment through the context of our relationship. I see how a person’s current struggles are connected to their identities as felt in the world and to their circumstances of the past and present. I know that these experiences live in the brain and the body and I often incorporate somatic practices in my approach. I understand my clients are the experts on their experiences and I am committed to creating a practice that affirms people of backgrounds.
