Bio

Coping with life’s changes can be overwhelming, especially when societal, familial, and personal expectations weigh on you. We all aspire to lead fulfilling lives and find happiness once more, but we are often expected to be grateful, to stop complaining, and to not talk about our feelings. So many of us feel these challenges but believe we’re the only ones. I was born in Hong Kong and came to the U.S. during my teenage years. Learning a new culture and speaking a different language while expected to be successful. Having support makes a world of difference.

Besides being trilingual in Cantonese and Mandarin, I use a culturally informed approach to understand how ethnicity, background, and cultural beliefs may impact one’s overall well-being. I work with children, youth, families, and couples as they navigate the complexities of growth and change.
