Bio

My name is Anoushey Khan and I’m a Licensed Psychotherapist in Ca with over 5 years experience in the counseling field and 10+ years working with women and children as an activist and trainer. I’m an immigrant myself and a woman of color and know the journey of struggle, coping and coming into my own power. I struggled personally with codependency for many years of my life until I embarked on my own therapeutic journey. I want to share with you what I learned from the process of finding my strength, accepting myself and finding my pride and power. The transformation not only led to personal growth but it also shaped how I interacted with others leading to better and more fulfilled relationships. I therefore love to work with girls and women who struggle with societal pressures, stereotypes, expectations, prejudice and pressures to confirm in order to feel connected and feel like they really belong. If you are someone who tries to mold and shrink yourself to belong, I see you and I can relate to your experience. I want to help you grow and feel boundaried, whole and unafraid of finding your genuine, fearless and authentic self-one that you were always meant to be. I’m willing to laugh and cry with you as we journey together. Most importantly not only do I bring my experiences, education, training and professional expertise but also my most authentic self to the session in order for you to do the difficult but required work towards self-awareness and self-acceptance. If you struggle with anxiety, self esteem issues, perfectionism or over functioning and placation, I can help you to examine these patterns in a safe holding environment and enable you to let go off that which does not serve you anymore. I can help you find ways to honor and celebrate who you are and find new ways of relating to others that do not come at the expense of sacrificing and silencing your own voice, thoughts, feelings and experiences. If you feel ready enough then let’s take the journey of finding and reclaiming who you were always meant to be!
