Bio

Hello there, thank you for considering me! Finding the right therapist is not an easy process.  Also taking the first step to start therapy takes a lot of courage! I’m glad you are here.

Your family is not who you feel safe with to open up and share what’s really going on with you. There’s a part of you that wants to connect with them, but when you let your guard down even a little bit, your family at every opportunity stabs you with their words. They continue to say things that hurt you and make you feel stupid, undeserving, and unworthy.

Let me help you. I am an EMDR Certified Therapist, acknowledged by EMDR International Association.

I am also a relational psychotherapist at the core who uses the power of the therapeutic relationship for building emotional safety and growth and facing relational challenges. We will dive into deep reflections and have insight-oriented conversations.

I work best with adults who are looking to address their underlying trauma that is affecting their daily life in relationships, sense of self, work performance, and/or family. Trauma can be from childhood or adulthood, short-term or long-term. It may be daunting to start the trauma work, but I will support you through your journey and bring a significant change in your life.

I hear BEAUTIFUL and EMPOWERING stories from my clients even from the most traumatic events. I am simply AMAZED to be a witness to these journeys of healing. And YOU can experience this as well. I will carefully guide you and help you attend to the relevant memories, emotions, thoughts, physical sensations, and beliefs to untangle where you feel stuck and hurt so that you can move forward, live, and pursue your goals and dreams.

I look forward to consultation calls. You can email me, call me, or book a consultation call directly from my website at https://www.waltztherapy.com/contact.

I offer online EMDR therapy to expedite the healing process. You can also expect weekly counseling sessions to be open and nonjudgmental in a confidential setting. Our conversations will lead you to reflect through the week and bring you back to check-in during the session.

I have a Master’s in Social Work from the School of Social Service Administration at The University of Chicago. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Wisconsin at Madison. I am the owner and the founder of WALTZ Trauma Care and Therapy.
