Ashley believes that healing work is inseparable from understanding and changing how intersecting systems of oppression impact our lives. Ashley believes that a purpose of therapy is to compassionately accompany someone through the unspeakable while creating the safety and sense of agency that make healing possible. She is grounded in Liberation Health, narrative, and relational approaches. Her approach is informed by her work in domestic violence shelters, grassroots community organizations, and schools.
Ashley graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in American Studies. Her undergraduate thesis explored the impact of racialization and erasure in Asian American experiences of suicide. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the Boston University School of Social Work.
Ashley makes time to climb rocks and be outdoors, and supports queer & pan-Asian organizing through the Asian American Resource Workshop.
