Bio

Isha Bhatt is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) working under the clinical supervision of Dr. Jessica Borelli. In 2017, she received her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her clinical internship at an acute psychiatric care facility where she treated; depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse disorders, and psychiatric disorders in children, adolescents, adults, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community through crisis intervention. Alongside her practice, she is a counselor for the University of California, Irvine (UCI) supporting first-generation/low-income students who hold various identities. She is also a study coordinator for the THRIVE Lab working on a relationally-focused intervention for clients receiving residential treatment for eating disorders.

Isha values a collaborative, trauma informed, culturally-sensitive therapeutic process. She is a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and specializes in working with Asian American individuals as well as folx within BIPOC communities. Through evaluating individual needs, service contexts, and client’s personal preferences; she utilizes various frameworks such as behavioral, cognitive, psychodynamic, systemic, and integrative practices. Isha is determined to provide individuals with a BRAVE space and help them with reclaiming their health and individuality.
