Bio
Caroline Fernandes is a compassionate Asian psychotherapist who facilitates understanding and meaning-making of life events and experiences. She has traveled extensively and lived in several countries which adds to her multicultural experiences and helps her to better understand individuals from various cultures, religions, and ethnicities. Her approach is holistic. She views holism as the individual being a part of a system (such as mind-body-soul) with complex emotions and thoughts, with family and ancestral history, including the fascinating complex brain. She offers a sacred space conducive to healing trauma such as childhood, developmental, sexual, racial, spiritual, and cultural. She helps with depression, grief, loss, betrayal, shame, challenges with forgiveness, parental conflicts, attachment, boundaries, and student/academic and immigration stress.

As an integrative psychotherapist, she integrates Western theories and treatment modalities such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT), brainspotting (BSP), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), neuroscience, psychodynamic therapy, planning, and strategizing. she also integrates Eastern healing modalities such as chakra clearing and balancing, yoga, Reiki, emotional freedom technique (EFT), and acupressure meridian points to release blockages and stress stored in the body. She helps with non-medical chronic pain management, career transitions, substance misuse/harm reduction/recovery coaching, lifestyle changes, spiritual direction, Psychedelic Assisted Therapy integration, and mentorship/student concerns.

Holistically, she facilitates mindful processing which could include life transitions, spiritual awakening, near-death experiences (NDE), anxiety & stress, identity & sexual exploration, immigrant family adjustment concerns, parenting coaching, codependency, relationship (traditional/non-traditional), conflict resolution, complex post-traumatic stress, and emotional/energetic blockages. She practices mind-body-spirit practices such as mindfulness, meditation, hypnotherapy, breathwork, movement, expressive art, rhythm, soul retrieval, somatic bodywork, and dreamwork.

She is licensed in the state of Georgia (USA) and accepts insurance for in-state clients. Out-of-state clients see her for coaching/mentoring/consulting (self-pay only, not covered by insurance).  She offers a 15 mts FREE consultation!
