Bio

There are times we find ourselves struggling and straying further away from the life we want. We are juggling daily demands, roles, and relationships, while just trying to keep it together. We begin to recognize that old ways of coping aren’t working anymore. Although painful and uncomfortable, this awareness is where growth and healing begins. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore and be curious about what has brought you here. We will work on deepening awareness, building skills, and making meaningful change that aligns with your values and goals – a therapy that enlightens and empowers.

I work with adults with issues related to anxiety, depression, loss and grief, intergenerational trauma, and difficult family dynamics/roles. I also specialize in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) and support individuals facing challenges in their reproductive journey from pregnancy through the postpartum period and the transition to parenthood.

As a therapist and first-generation Asian American born in Colombia, I am committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. If you would like to learn more about my practice and see if we would be a good fit, email me at catalinabaelcsw@gmail.com to schedule a free 20-minute phone or video consultation. Sessions are currently  virtual for residents of NY state.
