Bio

Hi, I’m Chris! A queer Filipino therapist who was born in Hawaii, grew up in the Bay Area, and came to have a deeper understanding of my identities and values in San Diego.

I help people feel less overwhelmed by anxiety, shame, and grief when they feel like they have to start their lives all over again in the midst of loss and change. On the outside, my clients might seem like they have it all together but inside they feel conflicted—filled with self-doubt, loneliness, and guilt. I help my clients work through grief, loss, and change so that they can reconnect to themselves, their relationships, and their creativity.

I believe how we show up in relationships and cope with difficult emotions is influenced by how we learned to survive growing up in an imperfect and unjust world. I value understanding who you are in the context of your lived experiences, and offer a non-judgmental space for you to show up unapologetically as yourself. My approach to therapy (Internal Family Systems, Somatic Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy) helps you feel less overwhelmed, more connected to yourself, and more compassionate towards yourself and others. I look forward to connecting with you!.
