It’s hard to be human in this world. Both trauma and systemic oppression can make us shut down parts of ourselves or make us rely too heavily on repressing pain. My aim is to provide a safe enough space for you to process painful experiences and to draw upon your innate strengths so that you can grow in the ways you want to. To do this, I draw on various modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I specialize in working with working with individuals who hold multiple marginalized identities, and because of my own positionality, I especially love working with queer Asian Americans. I’m experienced in helping folks navigate complex trauma, family dynamics, grief related to loss, burnout, gender and sexuality exploration, polyamory, and neurodivergence. I have also worked with individuals in the shelter system who carried schizophrenia spectrum diagnoses and involvement with the criminal justice system. I aim to empower people to choose their own ways of thriving in our imperfect, shared world. My ethics as a therapist are deeply informed by feminist and abolitionist political frameworks. If you think we may be a good fit, feel free to reach out; I offer a free, 20-minute consultation where we can get to know each other.
