As a dedicated and compassionate therapist and career counsellor, I am committed to supporting young adults in their journey towards personal growth and career fulfillment. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Counselling Psychology from Adler University. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), and a Certified Career & Interview Strategist.
My diverse career experience includes working as a school counsellor and post-secondary advisor for students with learning challenges, a youth therapist in a governmental agency, a graduate school admissions officer, and career counselling instructor. These previous roles have given me a deep understanding of the complexities young adults face in both their personal and professional lives.
As a second-generation Chinese Canadian woman, I have a unique perspective on cultural dynamics and the challenges faced by individuals navigating different cultural identities. My lived experience and professional training provide me with a comprehensive understanding of second-generation cultural issues, such as balancing cultural expectations with personal aspirations, handling intergenerational conflicts, and navigating identity and belonging.
Outside of work, I cherish spending quality time with my husband and our two dogs. My passions for baking, kettlebell training, pilates, and travel enrich my life and contribute to my holistic approach to well-being, which I integrate into my practice.
It would be an honour for me to support you on your journey as your therapist, helping you navigate your challenges and achieve your personal and professional goals. Together, we can work towards building you a more fulfilling and balanced life.
