Bio

As beautiful as life can be, coping with life’s demands, finding meaning, achieving goals, and staying inspired can be challenging.

With a warm and collaborative style, I strive to create a trusting environment where you can feel safe to openly share your thoughts and feelings. My goal is to establish a supportive, caring, and secure space where you can develop a better understanding of yourself, embrace change, and acquire an internal toolkit of adaptive skills.

In our work together, we’ll develop awareness and tools to navigate emotional discomfort and shift the thought or behavior patterns that no longer serve you. A central focus of my approach is honoring your unique intersectional identity and working with you to understand how your experiences and relationships have shaped your sense of self and how you engage with the world. This process opens the door to developing greater self-compassion for ourselves creating a space for change.

I draw on a range of modalities, including mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and psychodynamic approaches, customizing my approach to meet each individual’s unique needs.

As a first generation Asian-American therapist, I bring a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals from marginalized communities, particularly the complexities of navigating multiple identities and the experience of feeling othered. My experience includes extensive work with AAPI and BIPOC  individuals across various age groups, spanning adolescents to adults. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate various life challenges such as self-exploration and identity, conflicts in interpersonal dynamics, cultural conflict, navigating intergenerational dynamics and management of stress.
