Do you feel as if you are misunderstood by your friends, family, and the world around you? Maybe you feel as if you have to disguise who you are or assimilate with those around you in order to make your life feel easier. You could be struggling with the expectations of others? Are you tired of conflict with family due to generational or cultural differences? Do you struggle with self-forgiveness when you make mistakes or feel overwhelming pressure for perfection? Maybe you find yourself in inner conflict balancing multiple cultural identities? Or there may be instances in your life where you feel alone in your identity and are on a journey to discover yourself, but don’t know how to explore what questions to ask yourself. Whether the need for exploration is a recent one or one that has always existed, it is important to find space for it.
It’s important to be with a therapist who not only embraces who you are, but looks like you or wants to give you the space to share your authentic experience. I work to create a collaborative space without fear of judgment and an environment where you get a level of care and are heard in a way that you might not have felt in other spaces in your life.
I specialize in working with Asian and Asian American clients, LGBTQ+ Asian Americans, as well as individuals with disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and individuals who want to explore racial and biracial identity, gender identity, sexuality, and religion. I also have experience exploring concerns of perfectionism, self-esteem, self-worth, exploring generational conflicts and cultural differences between family members, stress, anxiety, depression, attachment, trauma, and grief.
