Bio
Feeling some type of way? Say, “Hey, JeeHye (G-Hey)!” Together, we can address your worries, low moods, sleep disturbances, work/school stress, struggle with confidence, experiences of being othered, difficulty with relationships, anger/resentment, lack of motivation, feelings of not wanting to be here, and more. If you have ever experienced trauma, I can help you understand how it has impacted you in hopes of changing any unhelpful ways you may have learned to protect yourself. My work is grounded in a commitment to social justice and inclusivity. I strive for a safe, non-judgmental space where you can share freely and bravely. I like to incorporate aspects of spirituality, focusing on how you connect with yourself and make sense of the world around you. As an immigrant myself, I understand the importance of culturally responsive care and make it a priority. I offer counselling in English and Korean. I use an eclectic approach and have training in EMDR, Narrative Therapy, and CBT. Others have described me as demure, mindful, relatable, witty, enthusiastic, humble, warm, spunky, open-minded, curious, funny, cheerful, genuine, creative, and a shining light. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. If you are ready to take the next step in your healing journey, please feel free to reach out to see if we’re a good fit.
