Bio

Hello! I’m Jena.

I work with ages from young children (3+) to young adults providing individual counseling. I strive to help the people I support gain awareness while incorporating evidence-based practices. Together, we can discover strategies to overcome what might be holding you back from emotional regulation and happiness.

When working with young children, I utilize a style of prescriptive play therapy that may incorporate both directive and non-directive techniques. I aim to support children by fostering independence, growing self-esteem, and increasing emotional regulation. I am also in the final phase of pursuing my Registered Play Therapist certification (RPT) with the Association for Play Therapy.

When working with tweens, teens, and young adults, I utilize a more integrative approach combining various theories and interventions that may benefit the client. Clients are welcome to discuss what has been on their minds while we also focus on our treatment goals. I aim to provide psychoeducational support and skills to help the client grow.

Humans are known to be resilient; when working together, we are a team. I strive to provide that safe and nonjudgemental space for you to be able to fully express your needs, wants, and goals for therapy.
