Bio
Are you an older teen or adult trying to navigate relational traumas? This can include unhealthy or toxic relationships with a partner or family member, infidelity, intimate partner violence, separation/ divorce, or bullying. Or are you a BIPOC individual looking to explore issues surrounding culture and identity? Then I may be the therapist for you. I am a Vietnamese therapist and I take a directive approach to therapy and enjoy working with someone who is looking to make a change. I use my expertise to collaborate with you to develop a plan of action based on your goals and lifestyle.
I have over eight years of experience in the mental health field, including community mental health, corrections, non-profit, and private practice. I incorporate humour and take a modern evidence-based approach to my work. Most of my referrals are for BIPOC individuals, younger adults, and clients looking for a realistic but down-to-earth therapist.
It can be tough and discouraging finding a therapist that is the right fit. I acknowledge that this process requires a lot of trial and error, and would be happy to connect with a free 15-minute phone consultation to address any initial questions you may have. Please email me to schedule a time to meet as phone messages are not checked regularly.
