Bio
Do you struggle with overwhelming emotions? Maybe you are frozen by anxiety or overrun by worries you can’t control. Or you feel so numb, empty and hopeless that you can’t concentrate or work. These emotions cause you to snap at others or retreat so that your relationships are not what you want them to be. In our sessions, you will learn what keeps you stuck and identify new ways thinking and behaving so you can move forward. You will also learn what to do when you are feeling intense emotions and be able to stop avoiding life.
I will work with you to tailor treatment to your unique story. My main approaches are dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and Restoration therapy (a model that combines attachment theory, emotional regulation, and mindfulness). I run a virtual Christian DBT skills training group and offer Christian counseling for those interested.
Life is hard, but you don’t have to do it alone. It might not feel like it now, but there is hope. I look forward to getting to know you! Feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute phone consultation to determine whether I can help you, no strings attached.
