As a licensed therapist, I have experience working with individuals and families of various ages and backgrounds in school, hospital and private practice settings. I currently focus my clinical work with teens and adults who are struggling with anxiety, stress, depression and self-esteem. And, as a biracial therapist, I am knowledgeable about unique identity issues for biracial/multiracial individuals and am passionate about supporting others in this area. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process, and view clients as the experts of their own experiences.
In sessions, I use a person-centered and integrative approach to use tools and techniques that are the right fit for you. Additionally, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy based strategies to challenge negative thought patterns and explore the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Beyond this practice, I am a Registered Yoga Teacher and I see infinite value in incorporating mindfulness techniques that promote a feeling of connection, awareness, and balance between your mind and body.
I will bring empathy and kindness in our sessions to create a safe and welcoming environment where you can explore and grow. It would be a privilege to join you on your journey.
