Bio

As a therapist, I am here to support you to develop deeper understanding behind symptoms, build connections, and learn strategies to cope with life transitions. As an Asian queer woman of color, I continue to work from anti-racism, feminist, and queer framework. I believe in creating a therapeutic space that is warm, authentic, empowering, and validating of the client’s experiences. I draw from psychoanalytic theory and Relational Cultural Theory and provide evidence-based behavioral interventions, informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, to support your needs for behavioral change.

I have experiences with treating clients from various developmental stages and diverse cultural backgrounds. I have a master’s degree in School Counseling and I worked primarily with children and adolescents on academic and career development, identity development, and social and emotional concerns. During my doctoral program and my postdoctoral fellowship, I developed clinical speciality in treating PTSD and trauma, work and academic stress, depression and anxiety, relationship concerns, and People of Color, women and queer individuals’ wellness issues.
