Bio

Do you find yourself repeatedly learning the same lessons? Despite immersing yourself in self-help books, you continue to navigate cycles of self-doubt, relationship issues, depression, and anxiety. You’ve noticed that, despite your best efforts, you are living out the same patterns as your family, struggling to break free. You yearn to love yourself but feel guilty and uncertain about where to begin.

If this is you, I see you. As a refugee, first generation Hmong-American, this was my healing journey. Rediscovering all of who you are and who you are capable of requires acknowledging all the different parts of us, the pain and the beauty.

The foundation of my therapeutic practice is deeply client-centered. Every treatment plan, which serves as your personal map to healing, is thoughtfully tailored to meet your unique needs and developmental stage. I employ various therapeutic approaches as tools to help us navigate the barriers and challenges to your wellness. You lead the way on this journey, and I will walk beside you until you are ready to continue on your own.

As a trauma-focused therapist, I specialize in fostering secure, trusting relationships with my clients, creating a safe environment where they can begin to explore and address the experiences that have left them feeling stuck. Drawing from my personal journey as a refugee and first-generation Hmong American, I deeply understand the challenges of embracing cultural heritage while liberating oneself from unhelpful generational patterns. Additionally, as an EMDR-trained clinician, I employ a polyvagal approach that prioritizes nervous system regulation, ensuring my clients receive the tailored support they need to progress comfortably and effectively. My commitment extends to supporting the development and wellness of
neurodivergent clients, utilizing my trauma training to foster self awareness, autonomy, and self-empowerment.

I am a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (#15990) located in Fresno, CA. I am currently under the supervision of Ah Hyun Lee, Licensed Clinical Social Worker #105879.
