Hello, I am Roseanna (she/her) and I am a licensed clinical social worker located in Seattle, WA. I offer individual psychotherapy for young adults who may be seeking a space to process life stressors, manage depression/anxiety/chronic illness, and/or strengthen their sense of self. My therapeutic approach is first and foremost, person-centered. Each individual comes to therapy with their own story and individual needs/goals. Sessions are tailored to each client’s unique needs and can include solution oriented problem solving, coping skills development, symptom management, and/or self-exploration. I partner with clients to identify and address thought patterns and behaviors that are unhelpful and no longer serve them. Therapy begins with the client, and it is my role to meet you where you are at. I welcome clients who may not have a clear idea of their concerns/needs, as well as clients who may not have any acute needs and are seeking a space for personal growth and self-discovery.

I have a particular interest in working with children of immigrants, BIPOC, and Asian/Asian-American/Asian hyphenated populations. I am a child of Chinese immigrants and was born and raised in New Zealand. I moved to the United States and have lived here for the past 10 years. The migration experiences of both myself and my parents have greatly influenced my journey in exploring my cultural/national identities, recognizing the trauma and resilience of the immigrant experience, and the process of creating a home away from home.

My educational history includes a Bachelor in Psychology and Master in Social Welfare with a concentration in health and mental health throughout the lifespan, at UCLA. I have professional experience working with individuals who are domestic violence survivors, and acutely/chronically medically ill patients navigating outpatient and inpatient settings.
