Bio

Being a Person of Color and an immigrant, I understand the challenges that individuals encounter due to societal biases related to skin color, as well as the difficulties associated with significant life transitions like immigration. As a working parent who has worked in the corporate sector for 10+ years, I also understand the stresses and challenges of juggling the demands of work, family, and life. The pressure to keep up can often lead to burnout, feelings of overwhelm, and a loss of emotional control. It was during my corporate experience that I learned the importance of finding balance, creating healthy boundaries, and regaining control over my mental health. As a therapist, I now support my clients in finding their balance again in their own journeys.

I practice from a culturally-sensitive and trauma-informed approach to create a safe and nonjudgemental space where you are seen, heard, and understood. In our time together, we will work towards understanding your lived experiences and identifying emotional and psychological patterns that may be keeping you stuck. We will work on identifying your triggers and how they show up in your reactions. As we explore your story, I will support you and equip you with skills and resources to manage stress and overwhelm, overcome emotional reactivity, and manage difficult situations in ways that better serve you.

I’m currently accepting new clients and offer complimentary same-week initial consultations so that you can build momentum in your healing journey and not have to be on a waitlist. You can read more about my approach to therapy at on our website or schedule a consultation with me directly in my calendar at https://ajourneyinwardtherapy.janeapp.com/#/staff_member/3. I look forward to meeting you!
