Bio

My name is Sarah Wu and I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PhD; Colorado PSY.0004902) serving young adults, teens and children. I am also a PSYPACT provider, which allows me to treat clients residing in select states across the United States, and also licensed in New York State.

I received my BS in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and completed my Master’s in Developmental Psychology from San Francisco State University. My research at SFSU focused primarily on Asian American mental health and parent-child relationships. While at CU, I received extensive training in the treatment and assessment of adults and youth in both private and community mental health settings, including the Asian Pacific Development Center, where I gained experience treating Asian immigrants and first generation Asian Americans.

My predoctoral internship/residency was at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Child Clinical Psychology, which provided focused training with children, adolescents, and young adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I then completed a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in Child Clinical Psychology at Seattle Children’s Hospital, receiving further in-depth training in using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat issues across the developmental spectrum. Some of my training experiences included providing treatment in an intensive OCD treatment program, evaluating and treating eating disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and providing acute crisis management and triaging.
