Bio
Second-generation immigrants have the unique experience of being brought up in a different country than their parents. Due to the cultural contrasts, you may have different values from your family as well. Confusion, guilt, and anger are just a few feelings that children of immigrants go through, while trying to balance their inner and outer worlds. Your complex feelings and experiences may create issues related to anxiety, depression, or stress which can be difficult to navigate on your own. However, with therapy you do not have to take on these challenges alone.
My passion for mental health awareness and psychotherapy started with my own challenges. As a second-generation immigrant myself, I know what it feels like to be a client and understand the importance of building a strong, authentic therapeutic relationship. As your therapist, I aim to provide you with a safe, supportive space where you can freely express yourself without any judgement.
Along with your expertise on your life I hope to help navigate and take control of your mental health. During this process we can identify patterns between your thoughts and behaviours, find healthier coping strategies, and rewrite your story. Everyone deserves to be heard and understood, and I would be honoured to join you on your own mental health journey.
