I am a trilingual registered counsellor from Hong Kong and I practice in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 12 years in the education and tech field. My interest in becoming a counsellor came from my experience of witnessing a close family member suffering from schizophrenia, along with my own struggles with anxiety, self-esteem, and not being able to set healthy boundaries in my personal and work relationships.
I spend my free time hiking, birding and reading. I am also an avid swimmer.
Clinical Approach
I am a trained Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner, and my counselling approach is grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, psychodynamic theories and mindfulness.
We may not be able to control the external events or the actions of people around us; we can choose to respond in ways that strengthen and empower us, regardless of the situation we face. It is my belief and experience that by looking inwards, we can transform the impacts of our past and create a different future and perspective for ourselves. My goal is to come alongside my clients to create conditions for healing, resilience and growth.
