Bio
Life can be challenging and change is inevitable, and with transitions there are many aspects to growth and loss. I work with individuals, couples, and family systems; often dealing with unprocessed grief, trauma, parenting, identity issues, and midlife decisions. It takes courage to communicate the strong emotions felt within these difficult topics, especially to those you love the most. I prioritize holding a non-judgmental space for these strong emotions to be seen, heard, and liberated.
My approach to therapy is attachment-based and grounded within a social justice framework. I utilize a number of systemic, collaborative approaches and incorporate humor in the room – because let’s be real, therapy is hard! We will work together to process difficult behavioral patterns, building skills to navigate through life circumstances.
As a Filipino-American, I understand how culture can have a huge impact on reaching out for mental health support. The therapeutic relationship we will build is aimed at recognizing your strengths grounded within cultural and individual values. Every person has a unique and authentic story that deserves to be celebrated, to be heard, and to be honored.
