I am invested in helping you recognize thinking and (in)action patterns that hold you back or help you flourish. You may gain clarity about attitudes and beliefs informing everyday behaviors. Building motivation and tapping into innate resilience is a major part of the healing journey. The focus can be on lowering stress, increasing safety and security in relationships, and developing healthy self-esteem. This involves exploring current coping and refining skills for various situations and settings. Over time and with practice, you may become more flexible and responsive. You may feel more readiness for new and harder challenges.
.
A gentle exploration of trauma, which is all too often a major source for present distress, is part of the work. I utilize a trauma-informed approach that is compassionate and conscious. Somatic Experiencing(R) informs my practice, as I strongly value bottom-up processing. You can expect to integrate techniques that can promote regulation.
.
Addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—is my caring approach to integrated therapy. As a practitioner with many intersections of identity, I am culturally informed, sensitive, and always ready to learn. I am primed to explore emotions and narratives that can arise from a complex upbringing, recent or overwhelming change, and painful loss.
