Bio

Hello! Do you feel torn between cultures? Do you have an inner critic that tells you you’re not doing, feeling or being enough? Are you armed w/ degrees/titles yet feel unfulfilled? Do you have a tendency to second guess yourself? Or do you feel like everything you do must be a “Slam Dunk” whether it’s work, dating or even FUN, otherwise you would rather keep it to yourself?  You’re not alone!

I specialize in working with adults struggling with cross-cultural dynamics & pressures.  I have 20+ years of experience working in NYC and Hong Kong with an international clientele including Asian Americans/Diasporas, Adult Third Culture Kids and Expats.  I’ve worked with a wide range of personalities from the anxious OCD overachiever to the ADHD self-deprecating comedian, with positive outcomes.

And before you try to diagnose yourself (or anyone who might have driven you to consider therapy) please look up an acronym in Psychology, WEIRD.  It may bring you some relief or more insight into your cross-cultural upbringing. Over the years of working on opposite sides of the globe, I’ve developed an eclectic therapeutic approach with cultural sensitivity and compassion tailored to each individual’s needs, personal style, preference and passions.  Let’s see if we are a good fit.

I offer online or in-person sessions in the Flatiron area.
